Some of the match faithful may know of the status of myself looking for a new job. I was offered the position of host at Chili's. I didn't think that may have made enough, and I attended a group interview at UPS to be a midnight package handler. The shift is from 10pm to 3:30am. With a daily 8:30 to 5:30, it was a going to be a tough schedule, but it would done what I needed. I took a tour of the UPS facility and talked with an HR rep. I went home with a strange feeling in my stomach that would have awoken the wolves. I tossed and turned thinking about my options. I finally sat down and thought of the dollars and "sense". On the same 4-5 hour shift I can work at either place, I will most likely make the exact amount of money. Although at Chili's I'll be seating people left and right in a restaurant. Or, I could lift heavy boxes and be let go on December 31st.
All in all I think having cash in my pocket will solve many of the day to day problems I face. Having to eat expired energy bars at my desk, or riding my bike to work because I can't afford two gallons of gas. Whatever the reason, when it comes down to it, I need to solve this issue quickly.
